Gilkie, Margaret and all seven children are buried in Stelvideo Cemetery.
Ansonia -- Gilkie Cunningham, 86, East Weller Street, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday (24 Nov 1969) at the Greenville Care Center where he had been a patient for two days. He had been in failing health for 11 weeks.
Mr. Cunningham was a native of Darke County and a lifelong resident of the Stelvideo and Ansonia areas. He was a retired carpenter.
His parents were the late Nathan L. and Rachel Gibson Cunningham.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jacob R. (Mildred Cunningham) Garbig (1912-1993)and Mrs. Edith Cunningham Gustin (1923-2006), both of Piqua; two sons, Chester (1909-2001) and Forest (1914-1973), both of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Oliver Funeral Home, Ansonia, at 2 p.m. Thursday (on Thanksgiving - 27 Nov 1969) with the Reverend Ted Landis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Stelvideo Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in Ansonia after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services on Thursday.
