A man who had been visiting his ill wife at Meriter-Madison General Hospital, was found in a car destroyed by fire about 9:40 a.m. Saturday in the hospital parking ramp.
Kermit D. Groom, 65, of Steubun, about 20 miles northeast of Prairie du Chien in Crawford County, died of heart failure and was found by the firefighters who put out the blaze.
