Thomas Joel Armstrong, 53, of East Peoria passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Born in Decatur on Feb. 20, 1957, to Edward and Nedra Joeline Spaauge Armstrong, he married Renee Feagin on Nov. 7, 2008. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Joeline Grigsby of Alabama; children, Chance Armstrong and Shasta Nelton, both of Pekin, Jason Swansson of Peoria, and Jacey Wells, Sunny Wells and Kenny Wells, all of East Peoria; brother, Steve Armstrong of Mattoon; and sister, Jo Beth Lamb of Alabama.
His father; son, Mitchell; and wife, Michele Armstrong, preceded him in death.
Thomas was a retired pipe fitter and a proud member of Steam Fitters Local 353.
He was an avid Harley rider, and loved watching football.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
