Ruby Garnet Morrow of Neodesha, Kansas, died Tuesday morning, April 13, 2005, at Beverly Health and Rehab. She was 97.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the First Christian Church under the direction of the Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Pastor Jim Bell will officiate. Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3-8 p.m.

The daughter of Lafayette and Rebecca (Stout) Hog, she was born June 7, 1907, in Rantoul, Kansas.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Warren Morrow on January 5, 1925, in Broken Arrow, OK.

They moved to Neodesha the next year and purchased the home in which they lived their entire lives. Her husband preceded her in death June 12, 1976.

During WWII, Mrs. Morrow was employed at Airosol Company in Neodesha and was proud of her contribution to the war effort while employed there.

She was member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Anderson of Winston Salem, NC; one sister, Hazel Peterson of Broken Arrow, OK; six grandchildren, Brett Thayer, Robert Morrow, Joseph Morrow III, Rosemary King, Amelia Sullivan, and Joseph Anderson; a niece, Mabel McCormack of Altoona; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dorothy Morrow Thayer, a son, Joseph W. Morrow Jr., and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home.
