Pearl J. Buskirk, 104, of Elmwood at the Shawhan, and formerly of 55 Oakwood Drive, Tiffin, died at 12:46 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin. Pearl was born May 20, 1904, in Henry County, Bartlow Twp., to the late Avery G. and Ida E. (Heidelbaugh) Curtis. Survivors include her son, Gerald C. (Ruby) Tusing of Tiffin. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pearl was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a 50 plus year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William E. Tusing, William P. Tusing, and Wilbur Buskirk; brothers, Dallas, Virgil, Ray and Ellsworth Curtis; and sisters, Blanche Webber, Evelyn Kerry and Laura Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 2: 00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin with Rev. Gary Hicks officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at the Woodlawn cemetery in Bloomville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church or to Elmwood Assisted Living at the Shawhan.
