James Houston "Buddy" Turner passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home in Marianna, Arkansas. He was 85 years of age.
Buddy was born on May 18, 1924 in Haleside, Arkansas to Clive Houston Turner and Lula Gable Turner.
He was a genuine gentleman who loved his family, his friends and his country. He enjoyed traveling to auctions in his search for antiques, and he greatly enjoyed Country Music; especially Marty Robbins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and other classic Country Music artists.
He is survived by son Larry Dunnington of Marianna; daughter Carolyn Dennis of Ward, AR; grandchildren Audra Dunnington, Rebel Hudnall, Phillip Hudnall, Angie Moser and husband Michael; Dusty Dennis and wife Barbara, and Chancy Dennis; and many friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Clive and Lula Turner; his son, Carl Houston Turner; his daughter, Marilyn Turner; one sister, Mary Sue Adams; and one brother, Clive Turner.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, graveside at Marianna Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna.
