Isaac Redding enlisted and served in Co. H, 83rd Ill. Inf. His name is listed on a plaque at the Warren Co. Il, Courthouse. Isaac Redding was also known as Redding Tinder and was much loved and respected by his family, nieces and nephews. He was a charter member.of Harding Post #127 G.A.R. organized 11 April 1882. He was on the Board or" Directors of the Fraternal Charity and Loyalty Assoc. organized Dec. 1891. The object of the organization was to teach loyalty and patriotism; to care for the deserving soldiers and their widows.
