Elgin Evans Of Livingston Dies
A heart attack which seized him as he walked in the home of a friend at Turlock this morning caused the death of Elgin Evans, 75, Livingston rancher for more than a half century.
Evans had stopped in Turlock to visit Mr. and Mrs. E. Eslinger and had complained of not feeling well. He drank a glass of water and started to walk to the bathroom of their home when he fell dead.
He had been in failing health several years. He was well-known in the Livingston district and had served two terms as master of the Livingston Masonic Lodge.
He leaves his widow and a daughter Miss Gladys Evans in Livingston. Another daughter is Mrs. Ethel Montgomery of Merced. Two sons are Chester Evans in Merced and Herbert Evans in Bakersfield.
Services will be announced by Ivers and Alcorn funeral home.
