He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Eloise "Louise" Savoie Adams; his parents, Alphonse and Justelia Orgeron Adams; one daughter, Janice A. Hartman; four brothers, Justilien, John, Edwey and Harris Adams; and five sisters, Luncia Lerille, Lenora Ledet, Emily Loupe, Nola Federine and Julie Bye.
He was retired from Avondale Shipyard and was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. He was a U.S. World War II Army veteran.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
