Mrs. Rushing, 93, died Dec. 20, 2000, at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Franklin County on Oct. 7, 1907, to Aaron Rushing and Ruth Farmer Rushing.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Eugene H. Rushing; her daughters, Eloise Stanley, Thelma Anderson, and Hazel Rushing; and her sons, Bobby Joe Rushing, E. H. Rushing Jr., Troy Rushing and William Rushing.
Survivors are her sons and daughter-in-law, Roy and Gail Rushing of Vidalia, La., and Charlie Rushing of Brookhaven; her daughters and son-in-law, Mildred McCaffery of Bogue Chitto and Helen and Dudley Barlow of Hurley; her sisters-in-law, Loney Sykes of Brookhaven and Billie Rushing of Mt. St. Helen, Ore.; and 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
