James B. Campbell, 67, of rural Marshall, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Robert Sisney will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Fred Wright, Claude Hankins, Rusty Ballowe, Robert Ballowe, Bob Thomas and Jeremy Head. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with military rites at graveside. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Born June 25, 1936, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Herbert Cosgrove Campbell and Jewell Day Campbell, who survives of Slater. On June 14, 1971, he married Daisy Frakes Morrow, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater. He was a truck driver, a farmer and had worked for the City of Marshall Street Department. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Additional survivors include four sisters, Martha Elliott of Marshall, Donna Ballowe of Slater, Linda Bodenhamer of Slater and Vickie Griffitt of Marshall; two brothers, Joe Campbell of St. Joseph and Dwayne Campbell of Slater; one son, Jimmy Lee Morrow of rural Marshall; two daughters, Patty Simmons of Marshall and Norma Maycock of rural Marshall; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
