Mrs. H W George Dies at Mantee; Buried Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. H W George, who died Sunday at noon at her home in Mantee following a lengthy illness, were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Mantee Baptist Church with the Rev. W C Stewart officiating, assisted by the Rev. J B Middleton, of Sardis, and her son, Guy George. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. George, who before her marriage was Asenath Elizah Cliett, was born at Montpelier, March 16, 1866. She was a charter member of the Mantee Baptist Church, being active until her health failed.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Estees Rushing, Salem, Va., and Mrs. R V Taylor, Philadelphia, Miss.; and two sons, Guy George, of Guthrie, Okla., and Lynn George, of Mantee; ten grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. McGee and Mrs. Roy Moseley, of Montpelier, and Mrs. Murrah, of Mantee.
Burial was in the cemetery at Pine Bluff.
