Charles Douglass Hinds, 54, died Tuesday evening at his home in Nashville, following an heart attack. He was the only son of the late Dr. Zina T. Hinds and wife, Kate Douglass Hinds, of this city.
He was born and reared in Cookeville, and attended the Cookeville schools and the department of Pharmacy of Vanderbilt University.
For the past several years he has resided in Nashville where he has been an employee of different stores.
Mr. Hinds is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Hinds, a son, Douglass Hinds of Columbia, a sister, Miss Alma Hinds of Cookeville, and numerous other relatives in this city and county.
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Cookeville Cemetery by Rev. G. C. McIlwain, pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the family lot.
