Death Notice:Dorothy Hicks is survived by her sons, George Scott Hicks of Dallas, Texas and Thomas David Hicks and his wife Nora of The Woodlands, Texas; her daughters, Billie Jean Griffin and her husband Tony of Longview, Texas and Donna Darlene Maske and her husband Gary of Seguin, Texas; her brothers ,Cecil A. Seagroves of Queen City, Texas and
Alfred R. Seagroves of Linden, Texas; her sister, Sherry Laneheart of Iran, Texas; six grandchildren, Miranda Hogue, William Maske, Patrick Maske, David Hicks, Catherine Hicks, Jason Hicks; and 14 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon David Hicks; her daughter, Constance Jacquline Hicks and her grandson, Christopher Hogue.

Mrs. Dorothy worked for Guard Line and Henson Kickernick for a number of years; however, she was mostly known for her quilting. She loved to quilt and was recognized throughout the area for her quilting abilities. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Queen City, Texas.
