(bio by Angela Tooley)Wife: Mary Ann Taitt of Valdosa, GA. Hugh served in the Second Florida Infantry Co. G during the Civil War, was wounded in the right shoulder at Gettysburg, and rejoined his regiment afterward. He fought with the 2nd until it surrendered at Appomattox. His headstone was broken shortly after I took this picture, and has since been replaced with a new headstone by the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Kirby-Smith Camp #1209 based in Jacksonville, FL.
