_________
The information in the following Frederick Maryland Equity file references the transfer of land" Pleasant Levels" (87+ acres beside Jacob Adlesperger and his blacksmith shop), due to a previous agreement to sell the land by Aloysius Elder in Feb 1824, to Mount Saint Mary's Seminary. In Dec 1829, the land had been rented to Rev. John DUBOIS. Aloysius transferred personal property also including slaves (named in the Equity file below which are likely buried in the slave cemetery). this equity file below states Aloysius Elder d/11 Sep 1827 which could be a more accurate date or an error (not sure which). (Note: The Equity file says he is leaving wife Mary (must be his 2nd based on the information above) and 11 children (some listed above as "younger" above). The following children are additional children (maternity is not clarified until marriage date identified with birthdate of children):
d/ Ann (Elder) w/o William Murphy
d/Matilda (Elder) w/o William McAtee - Out of State
s/Lewis Elder
d/Mary (Elder) w/o James Keepers - Out of State
(See Equity file below for CLARIFICATION and additional estate land transfer information since I did not want to duplicate info on this site).
