Col Percy W. Arnold dies in France.
Colonel Percy Weir Arnold, who was the first commander of the Officers Training Camp at Plattsburg, after the United States entered the war, died in France of injuries received in a railroad accident Jan. 25, according to announcement made in this city yesterday. A son of Brig Gen Abraham Kerns Arnold, Colonel Arnold was born in New York City 44 years ago, and was graduated from West Point in 1896. He saw service in the SPanish-American War and was stationed at Del Rio during the Mexican disturbance. After training the "Yankee Division" at Plattsburg he was sent as commandant of the Officers Training School to Camp Devens, Ayer, Mass. going abroad with the 76th Division last June.
