Carl Jack Rathbun was born, reared, and died in Erie, PA. He and his second wife, Edythe Thompson moved to Okmulgee, OK for Carl to take a job as a bookkeeper. Edythe died the day of childbirth with a baby that was born dead. Later, Carl married Ona May Burton in Okmulgee. They had one child. Later Ona and Carl were divorced, He married Pearl I. Morton Hooker. They moved back to Erie, PA where they both died. Pearl is buried next to Carl in an unmarked grave.
