MESA TEMPLE CUSTODIAN DIES

MESA, July 14 -- Charles E. Watson, custodian of Arizona Temple for 17 years, died Saturday at his home, west of Mesa.

A native of London, Mr. Watson was born March 10, 1877. He lived in the Southside District for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife, Belva; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Johnson of Mesa; Mrs. Erva Quist of Arco, Idaho and Mrs. Mary Anderson of Los Angeles; three sons, S. C. of Los Angeles, Clyde E., of Bountiful, Utah and Roy A. of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Linnie Parker and Mrs. Fannie Kilgrow, both of Salt Lake City and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Tempe Ward of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Bishop Ferrel Dana will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mesa Cemetery.
