Funeral services for JOHN W. HAMILTON, 73, who died at 3:55 a.m. yesterday at his residence, 529 Snyder Court, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Herrmann, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
A native of Harrison County, Mr. Hamilton was a son of the late Sarah Hiten and John C. Hamilton. He was a member of the Beard Presbyterian Church in Scott County.
Survivors include two brothers, Ealon Hamilton, Scott County, and Cam Hamilton, Harrison County; a sister, Mrs. Maude Skinner, Scott County; and three grandchildren, Onas and Dewel McDaniel, Lexington, and Mrs. Cora Ellan Hamilton, Cincinnati. ~~~~ LEXINGTON HERALD, Lexington, KY, Aug. 6, 1944, page 2
