Wesley James Coers, 80, a Shelbyville resident until he was admitted to the Waldron Nursing Home some three months ago died at the nursing home Sunday night. Mr, Coers was born in Liberty Township July 11, 1901, a son of Henry B. and Maggie (Gahimer) Coers. He moved to Florida in 1935 and remained there until 1971 when he returned to the Shelbyville area. A former U.S. Navy serviceman, Mr. Coers worked in the construction field while in Florida, where he changed his last name to Caleau He is survived by a son, Herbert H. Caleau of Shelbyville. Two brothers preceded in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Murphy Mortuary with Rev. Charles J. Hanlon officiating. Burial will be at the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
