Henry T. Claytor, 87, 525 S. 800E, Waldron, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday at Heritage House Convalescent Center, Shelbyville. Born March 10, 1906, in Fayette County, he was the son of Texas Theodore and Irene (McNeely) Claytor. On Aug. 20, 1932, he married Mildred T. Fuchs who preceded him in death on Feb. 9, 1991. Mr. Claytor lived in Shelby County since 1924. He was a farmer and carpenter until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Union Church. Survivors are daughters, Mable Jordan, Columbus, Marjorie Daugherty, Lincoln, Neb., Dorthy Claytor, Shelby County, Charlotte Daugherty, Butlerville; a son, Maurice Claytor, Wylie, Texas; sisters, Anna Dillinger, Apopka, Fla., Jane Gahimer, Waldron; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Claytor was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blue Ridge Christian Union Church with the Rev. James Farnsley officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church.
