Elsie was born April 25, 1907, in Vandervoort to the late Ambrose and Leni Affholter. She was the 10th of 10 children.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, H.H. Hunter and Harold C. Jones.
She was a member of Mount View United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a former salesperson.
She is survived by two daughters, Dottie Hunter Bell and her husband, Glenn of Mineral Springs and Pat Carney of Rudy. She is also survived by stepdaughters, Ada Cox and her husband, Leon of Rogers, Betty Rankin and her husband, Wayne of Mulberry; stepsons, Jerry Jones of Oklahoma and Jack Jones and his wife, Nancy of Texas. She had six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Randall Carney, Kirk Bell, Greg Bell, Todd Norris, Chad Goss and John Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Mount View United Methodist Church.
