"Roy H. Freeman, 57, of 914 First Ave S, died in a Fargo hospital. He had been ailing for some time but had been seriously ill only a week.

Born in Independence, Missouri, March 8, 1888, he moved with his parents to a farm near Ames, Iowa, as an infant and as a young man to Dazey, N. D., where he was employed for several years as rural mail carrier and later in a store. He married Elora Stevens at Dazey Jan. 4, 1909. They moved in 1912 to Valley City, where Mr. Freeman managed the grocery department of a general store, and in 1914 to Fargo.

Mr. Freeman has been employed in various capacities here and for the past three years was custodian of Lincoln public school. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Fargo.

He leaves Mrs. Freeman; two sons, Cpl. Harold B., and Cpl. Willis, both in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Arlie Peterson, 1420 Third Av S, and Lorene, at home; a brother, Carl, in Iowa; a half brother, Leo Applegarth of Dazey; a half sister, Audrey, in Missouri, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be in O. J. Hanson chapel at a time to be set. Elder C. R. Rotzien will officiate. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery."
