TRENTON - Daisy Smothers, 90, of Trenton, formerly of Westport, died of heart failure Saturday at Gibson County General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dilday Funeral Home with burial in Jamison Cemetery near Westport. She was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church near Trenton. Mrs. Smothers, the wife of Clyde R. Smothers, also leaves a daughter, Ruby Spellings of Trenton; a son, Eldon Smothers of Linden; a sister, Lila Butler of Huntingdon, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
