"A. Laura Burkholder, 80 of 234 Front St., Lititz, died Dec. 9 at Lancaster General Hospital after a two-month illness. A Lititz resident for the past 40 years, she was the wife of the late Clayton N. Burkholder, who died in 1969. Mrs. Burkholder was a memberr of the Lititz Springs Chapter 499, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Cedarettes, Lancaster. She was a member of the Lititz Senior Citizens and the Auxiliaries to Lititz Fire Company 1 and Lancaster General Hospital. She was also a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lititz, and the church's Mary Circle. Born in Clay Township, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Annie Earhart Kline. Surviviing are two sons, Ray K., Alabaster, Ala., and Rufus K. Lititz; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bertha Burkholder, Ephrata, and Edna Risser, Lemoyne. Funeral services will be held Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 W. Orange St., with the Rev. James G. Shannon, D.D., officiating. Interment will be at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. until time of services. Spacht Funeral Home, 127 S. Browad St., was in charge of arrangements."
