JOSEPH DOTY, son of Daniel Doty and Elizabeth Crane, born Middletown, O., Jan. 7, 1808; married 1st there Dec. 16, 1832, Mary Vail, born Nov. 11, 1814, daughter of Samuel Vail and Margate Russell. Samuel Vail was an early emigrant from New Jersey to Butler Co., O. She died Middletown, Oct. 24, 1850. He married, 2d, there early in 1851, to Nancy Kelly, born 1811, daughter of James Kelly and Annah Kent. He died Middletown, April 14, 1856. She m., 2nd, William Enyard, and was living, 1886, Middletown.
