SALT LAKE CITY - Mona Rae Lowe Morton , 73, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009 in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City. She was born June 27, 1935 to Acel L. and Ramona Richards Lowe in Franklin, ID.

Mona married Kenny Morton. They were later divorced. She graduated from Pocatello High School. Mona was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many positions, most recently as Relief Society Secretary, teacher and Chorister. She loved the temple and served there as often as she could.

Mona served in the U. S. Army and worked for the Federal government many years until her retirement. She loved to knit, crochet and cross stitch and shared the fruits of her talents with many.

Survived by Jay (Pauline) Lowe, Mont (Dell) Lowe, Gary (Ruth) Lowe, Acel (Maria) Lowe, Charlene (Ardell) Adams, and Leanne Semenza.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Domingo Park Community Center Bldg. 2, 3980 South 750 West Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Saturday, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. at the Center.

Interment, Syracuse City
