Mildred Brackner, age 95, died Aug. 11, 2010, at Forest Manor.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Gray, Rev. Jeff Stevenson, and Rev. Greg Allen officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira (Tate) Brackner; her parents; five brothers; two sisters; and son-in-law, Richard Mallett.
Survivors include her daughter, Iris Jo Mallett of Tuscaloosa; sister, Elsie Mitchell of Gardendale; brother, Eddie McLaughlin of Florence; grandchildren, Richard Mallett (Amelia) of Northport, Randy Mallett (Wanda) of Sylacauga, Rusty Mallett of Tuscaloosa; great-grandchildren, Monica Henderson (Charlie), Kelley Holbrook (Brandon), Candace Mallett, Dallin Coggins; great-great-grandchildren, Chance, Emma, Kayden, and Brennan.
She loved the Lord and all her family very much and would do anything for anyone. She was an active member of Hopewell Baptist and a rural mail carrier who did volunteer work.
Pallbearers will be Richard Mallett, Randy Mallett, Rusty Mallett, Eddie McLaughlin, Charlie Henderson, and Joe Brackner.
Honorary pallbearers are friends of Hopewell Baptist Church, Regency Retirement Village, Kellerman, Searles, and Brookwood; Jack and Jean Humphrey; Denny Capley; Sammie and Stack Stacy; and Dr. John Summerford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopewell Baptist General Fund, Hospice of West Alabama, or Caring Days.
