Washington Robb was a Civil War Veteran who served with Co. G of the 95th Illinois Infantry. He was born in Warren County, Indiana and died Sept. 12, 1922 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Mr. Robb was born in Warren County, Indiana on May 4, 1837 the son of Robert and Mary A (Russell) Robb. Robert is a native of Kentucky, but reared in Ohio. Mary is a native of the town Chillicothe, Ohio. At 18 years of age Mr. Robb became a student of Rock River Seminary in Ogle County, after one year of studies, he began teaching. On July 27, 1862 he enlisted in Company G, 95th Illinois Infantry and discharged in October 1865 in Springfield, Illinois. In the fall of that year he homesteaded on 160 acres in Spring Creek and engaged in farming and teaching in the winter months.
On January 1, 1868 in DeKalb County, Illinois he was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Gault. The couple was blessed with eight children: Avery D, student in Normal School in Peru; Roberts E, died at 18 years of age; Joy West; Earl G; Lura; Fred L; Harry H and Russell R, of the home. Mr. Robb was elected State Legislature of the Republican Party in November 1887 and re-elected in November 1888.
