Mrs. Edward Whitesides, 34 years old, of Greenridge, who died Thursday at Springfield hospital from burns suffered at her home, will be buried in Oak Ridge cemetery this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the Mundle & Ellinger funeral home. Coroner Branson is making an investigation of the woman's death and will conduct an inquest later. Mrs. Whitesides, it is said, told her husband, "I'm going to burn myself" and then proceeded to saturate her clothing with coal oil, which she ignited. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 1-27-1923
