Either the surname Ladd is an error in the actual record or Mary was the widow Ladd when she m. Dow but cannot find a prior marriage for her. In either case, her extant gravestone is very close if not relatively exact regarding the inscribed age at death for Mary badger, dau. of Daniel Badger , Jr. and Mary Weld of Coventry (30640487 and 30640530). Daniel Badger died testate in whose will he calls dau. Mary as Mary Dow .
