OBITUARY:

The Chattahoochee Valley Times
Date: Wednesdy, April 3, 1935

W. F. Borders 54, died erly Sunday, March 31, at his home in Shawmut after an illness of only a few hours. He had been feeling badly on Saturday and had not consulted his physician but no one considered his illness serious.

Funeral services were held at the Shawmut Methodist church Mnday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Frank Ledford and Rev. Earl Trent, pastor of the Shawmut Baptist church, and Rev. R. E. Branscomb of Fairfax Methodist church. Interment was at the Shawmut Cemetery.

Mr. Borders was a native of Troup County, having moved to Shawmut about 12 years ago. He was a devoted member of the Shawmut M. E. church. He is survived by his wife and five sons, J. A. Borders of Fairfax, James, of Wilmore, Ky.; William of West Point; Emmett and Nathan of Shawmut; five daughters, Mrs. Bill Clark, of Troup county, Mrs. A. L. Fuller, Margaret, Dorothy and Annie Pearl, of Shawmut; and seven grandchildren.
