Delia Jane Hunt, aged 78 a lifelong resident of Guernsey County, died at her home on Cambridge R.D.2 near Center at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon after an illness lasting for some time. She was bedfast for five months. She had been a member of the Center M.E. church and was active in its affairs, being in charge of its Women's Home Missionary Society for many years. She was born Sept 30, 1899 and is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ella Romans of Atwater, O; Mrs. Ida Brower of Freeport, and Mrs. Jessie Stewart, of Cambridge; one son, Howard of the home two brothers, J.M. Shipley of Old Washington and L.A. Shipley of near Freeport, and one sister Mrs. A.T. Cunningham of Newcomerstown. Her husband and one son are deceased. Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday afternoon by her pastor, rev. Mr. Keane, of the Center M.E. church. Burial was made in Northwood Cemetery.
