Claude has been an active member of the United Pentecostal Church for 54 years. He loved God and his church family was his real life. When Claude realized that he was too ill to go to church, he said with tears in his eyes, "I AM AN USHER, I want to go to church."
He was also very proud of his service time in the U.S. Army. Last summer Claude was honored at Veteran's Memorial Park for his service to our country.
He is survived by his siblings, David Carey, John L. Floyd, Brice, Arzelle, Troy, Maudeen, Laudeen, Lorene and Shirley Burnette; children; Danette Carey, Klamath Falls; Tony and Donnie Carey, Anchorage, Alaska; Brent and Alice Carey, Klamath Falls; grandchildren; Andrea Gibson, Daniel Wood, Justin, Jessica and Jami Carey, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Claude was preceded in death by his father, step father, mother, 3 brothers and his wife of 53 years.
