Beverly J. Schnelle, 76, 05193 Ohio 66, New Bremen, died at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 21, 2002 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. She was born Oct. 28, 1925 in St. Marys to Ray and Bly (Botkin) Black. On April 19, 1947, she married Thomas S. "Spike" Schnelle and he survives.

Also surviving are a son and his wife, Craig and Sue of New Bremen; a daughter and her husband, Sue and Jon Belton, New Bremen; a daughter, LuAnne of Santa Clara, Calif.; two brothers and their wives: Richard and Shirley Black, New Bremen; and Steve and Beverly Black, St. Marys; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A brother, Kent Black, is deceased.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen.

Private graveside services at Willow Grove Cemetery, New Bremen, will be at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, is handling the arrangements. Contributions can be made to the New Bremen Emergency Squad or the church.
