Ignatius L. Candler, member of a distinguished Georgia family, for many years a resident of Texas, where he practiced law ans served as judge, died Tuesday night at his country home near Covington, La.

He had been in bad health for several weeks and lived, with his daughter, Mrs. Will Branan, at her home in Pine street.

Mr. Candler was graduated from the University of Georgia in 1879. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Long Candler, and his two daughters, Mrs. Will Branan and Miss Martha Candler.
