Louise Marie Tharp, 74, of Scio, died at her home on July 21, 2010.
A funeral service was held on July 26 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A private family interment was held in the Franklin Butte Cemetery near Scio.

She was born July 15, 1936, in Lebanon, the daughter of Emil and Rosie (Kotan) Holub. She graduated from Scio High School in 1953.

She married Floyd Tharp in Albany on May 4, 1956. They operated Tharp Milk Hauling, a commercial milk hauling company and a family dairy in the Scio area for more than 30 years.

She is survived by sons Grimm of Scio, Brett of Monmouth and Casey Tharp of Scio; daughters Nanette R. Cole and Deanna J. Lopez of Salem and Connie A. Tharp of Mountain Home, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her husband Floyd died in 1998 and son Craig in 2009. A brother, George Holub, also died before she did.
