Emily Caroline Rogers was the daughter of John Alexander Rogers, Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Grace Rogers. Emily Caroline was first married to Seaborn Hall and had two daughters, Rebecca Bell Hall (Johnson) and Melissa Franklin Hall. Seaborn died unexpectedly in 1872, and Emily and the girls moved in with John and Mary Elizabeth. Soon Emily met John Holman Allen and they married and moved to Florida. Emily and John had two daughters, Emma Bertha Allen (Arden) and Eva L. Allen (Griggs).
