Helen Irene Barnet, 98, of DeSoto entered into rest on January 3, 2007 in Crystal City. Mrs. Barnett was born May 19, 1908 in Carmi, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Helen (Allen) Creed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Barnett.
She is survived by three sons: Donald H. (Ruth) Barnett of Hillsboro, Eugene, (Mary Ann) Barnett of Cedar Hill, and Thomas M. Barnett of DeSoto; four daughters: Helen Mae Dalashmit of Cedar Hill, Janet Irene (Tom) Patterson of DeSoto, Janice T. (Walter) Kolano of DeSoto, and Mary Lee Harris of Palm Springs, California; 33 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four sons: Raymond J., Coy Wesley, Clifford L. , Leon "Jack" Barnett; and one brother, Allen Creek.
