John B. Libolt, formerly of this city, died suddenly Monday in Newark, N.J., of heart trouble. Mr. Libolt was born August 5, 1854 at Burlingham, Sullivan county, the son of Daniel Libolt and Elizabeth Briggs Libolt. On September 6, 1879 he was united in marriage to Susan Davis, now deceased. Mr. Libolt is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Saul Clouse of this city and Mrs. Lloyd Nichols of Hancock and by four sons, Willard Libolt of this city and Daniel, John and David Libolt of Newark, N.J. The funeral was held at Newark Wednesday night. Interment was made at Phillipsport Friday afternoon.

According to an item in the Newark Evening News Mr. Libolt was stricken while out walking with a friend. He died in a candy store, where his friend took him when he complained of feeling ill.

Victim of Heart Attack in Newark — Born at Burlingham

John B. Libolt was stricken with a heart attack Monday, while walking near his home in Newark, N. J., and died before medical aid could reach him. Although he had been in poor health for more than six months, his death was unexpected.

Mr. Libolt was born at Burlingham Sullivan county, August 8, 1854, the son of Daniel Libolt and Elizabeth Briggs. He was a stone mason by trade and followed this occupation for a number of years.

September 6, 1879, he was united in marriage to Susan Davis, now deceased.

He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Saul Clouse and Willard Libolt of Middletown, Mrs. Lloyd Nichols of Hancock; Daniel, John and David, of Newark, N. J.
