At the age of five she with her parents came to the United States to settle at Glenvil, NE.
After due instruction in the Christian faith she was confirmed April 24, 1892 in Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran church in Glenvil by Rev. F.W. Gahre.
In the year 1899 the departed was married to Henry Waterman of Ayr, NE; Rev. C. Schubkegel officiating.
This union was blessed with five children, three sons, and two daughters, namely, Fred Waterman of Benkelman, NE, George at home, Henry who has entered the heavenly home, Margaret and Karoline, both at home. Henry Waterman preceded her in death in 1933.
Besides the children Fred, George, Margaret and Karoline, also her aged mother, Mrs. Kerr, a brother, George Kerr of Hastings, and four grandchildren mourn her departure. Except for two years, Mrs. Waterman with her family lived in the neighborhood of Blue Hill. She was a member of the Lutheran church her entire life. At Glenvil she was a member of the American Lutheran church, here at Blue Hill she was a member of Trinity for some years, then of St. Paul's and shortly before her death she asked the service of Trinity. Amidst many trials and troubles she bravely carried on to perform her duties toward her own, also taking care of her aged mother for the last years. She trusted in the Lord who provided for her and her family at all times. The last years she was ailing and slowly growing weaker until her Savior called her into His heavenly paradise. She reached the age of 64 years 1 month, and 17 days.
Yesterday (Thursday) the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Aug.
Her mortal remains were placed in the Blue Hill cemetery to await the Master 's call to rise to life eternal.
