--Miss Flora Blackstone, aged 24 years, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Blackstone, died on Tuesday at the Lakeside Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. She was a student at Oberlin College, and had she lived would have graduated in June. Several weeks ago she was taken with an affection of the knee, which necessitated two operations. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from the effects of the last operation. The remains arrived in Oak Park Tuesday evening, and the funeral services were held in the Methodist church, of which Miss Blackstone was a member, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Kimball. Music was furnished by the regular church choir. Miss Blackstone was well known and very popular in Oak Park, and her death was a great shock to her host of friends. The family have the sympathy of all in their affliction. The funeral was to Forest Home Thursday afternoon and was largely attended.

A scholarship was created at Oberlin in Miss Blackstone's honor.
