Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hausen funeral home here, for Mrs. Hattie Michael 83, widow of G. A. Michael, who died Wednesday [March 14, 1951] at the home of her daughter Mrs. Pearl Van Kleeck, in Nashua, where she had been cared for the last few months; burial will be in Oakwood cemetery at Floyd; Mr. Michael died Jan. 24, [1951] at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Starbuck, in Floyd; the Michaels were lifelong residents of the Bassett community and farmed north of there for many years; Mrs. Michaels was born Sept. 15 1867, in Howard County, daughter of William and Clarinda (Lipsy) Boggess; married Aug. 17, 1884 to Mr. Michael; in addition to the two daughters, survivors are two sons Bert Michael, Charles City, and Clarence Michael, Ionia; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Frank Boggess, Bassett; Cal Boggess, New Hampton; John Boggess, Inglewood Cal.; Lester Boggess and Mrs. Laura Hanson, both of Estherville, and Mrs. Sarah Hamm, of Waterloo.
