Funeral services for Larry Joe "Wine" McDonald, 57, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Revs. J.A. Griffin and John Herbert Cole officiating. Burial was in the Frankston City Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mr. McDonald died Friday, Jan. 5.
He was born Dec. 17, 1943 in Frankston, son of Joe Oliver McDonald and Fayrene Weesner McDonald.
Mr. McDonald was a pipeline inspector and affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Frankston. He was a Mason and a member of the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Oliver McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Pam McDonald of Frankston; sons and daughter-in-law, Joel McDonald of Galveston, Grant and Tara McDonald; a daughter, Jill McDonald of Conroe; a brother, Roger McDonald of Frankston; his mother, Fayrene Weesner McDonald of Frankston; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends.
Pallbearers were Bobby Robertson, Philip Welch, John Dunklin, Charles Rhodes, Joe Dale Dickerson, Tony Campbell, Bill Harden and Jimmy Westbrook.
Honorary pallbearer was Alan Robertson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Tyler, TX.
