Forrest Huse - Obituary

He was born March 16, 1932, in Dalton, the son of Clifford and Miranda (Dybdahl) Huse.

On Aug. 12, 1952, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Tokyo, Japan, until July 26, 1955. After his discharge he returned home and began working for the Otter Tail County Highway Department, retiring in 1994. On May 21, 1966, he married Joyce Jenne at the Federated Church in Fergus Falls. Forrest was a member of Federated Church, the American Legion, VFW and the Elks. Before he became disabled with severe rheumatoid arthritis, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. After retirement he became interested in doing scroll saw and Intarsia wood projects. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a son, John of Moorhead; a daughter, Courtney (Dan) Evans of Underwood; a sister, Kathleen (Lloyd) Island of Barrett; a brother, Neuman (Harriette) Huse of Ashby; four nieces and their families; an aunt, Norah (Grant) Hatling of Seattle; and several cousins. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Federated Church, Fergus Falls Clergy: Revs. Doug Dent and Bob Munneke Burial: Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls, with military participation by Dalton American Legion Funeral home: Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
