Mrs. Josephine Carey, 79
Mrs. Josephine Hulett Carey, 79, wife of George Carey died November 27 at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Sharkey of West Arlington.
Mrs. Carey has been in ill health for several years and had made her home with Mrs. Sharkey. She was born in Shaftsbury, May 13, 1849 and is the last of a family of 14 children. She married George Hale of Arlington who died 14 years afterward.
There was one child by this marriage, Mrs. Frank Sharkey. Five years after the death of her husband she married George Carey who had five children. She was a member of the Baptist church of Center Shaftsbury.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Congregational church in East Arlington. Burial was held in the Evergreen cemetery at Arlington.
