MRS. MARY B. GILLETTE.

Her Death Occurred at Pavilion Center at the Age of 83 Years.

Pavilion, March 30.—Mrs. Mary Bishop Gillette died on Saturday morning at her home at Pavilion Center. She had been ill eight weeks with heart trouble and infirmities of age.

Mrs. Gillette was born in Le Roy on December 4, 1836, and was a daughter of the late O'Shea and Eliza Bishop. Sixty-three years ago she wag married to George D. Gillette and six children were born to them, three of whom are dead. She had lived at Pavilion Center for fifty years and was a member of the Pavilion Methodist Episcopal church and the Pavilion grange. She is survived by a son, George E. Gillette of Perry; two daughters, Mrs. Flora Aiken of Le Roy and Miss Minnie Gillette of Pavilion Center, a brother, Henry Bishop of Brocton, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Bucknam of Bethany and Mrs. Emma Barnett of Rochester.

The funeral was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Mrs. Gillette's late home, the Rev. Philip P. Sowers, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. The burial was at Pavilion Center. The bearers were Ray and Ralph Bucknam of Bethany, Frank and Charles Perry of Akron, Frank Bishop of Buffalo and Fay Bishop of Rochester, all nephews.
