Timothy Marshall Maycock

Farr West - Timothy Marshall Maycock, age 53, passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, on Saturday, August 7, 2010.
Born January 8, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, to Dale Edwin and Margaret Maxine Maycock. He graduated from Weber High School, and later attended and graduated from Yellowstone Automotive College with an Associate Degree. Tim married Machel Butters on July 11, 1979 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Tim and Machel had two children, Joshua Dale Maycock and Cassie Sue Maycock. Tim was also the proudest of grandfathers to Hunter Timothy Maycock.

Tim worked at Volvo White Motors for 8 years until they closed their Northern Utah office. He served the past 20 years as Manager of Parks and Recreation for Weber County, where his outgoing spirit touched the lives of many people.

Tim & Machel owned & operated the 4th Street Bull Pen Batting Cages for 16 years where they made many friends.

Tim was an excellent athlete growing up, excelling in several sports, especially baseball and softball in his later years. He was also an avid hunter & fisherman who loved the great outdoors. Tim was a great husband & father who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Tim could and would fix anything regardless of what it took. All you had to do was mention something needed repair and he'd say "just bring it over." It would always look like new when you picked it up.
Tim will especially be remembered as a true friend; he rarely met anyone who remained a stranger. He was always open minded and accepted people as they were. He was one of those rare individuals that formed life long friendships with people from every walk of life. To imagine our lives without Tim seems impossible. His presence radiated so much life. He effortlessly delivered endless amounts of love and laughter everywhere he went. We hope and pray that we all carry him in our hearts forever.
Tim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Machel, son Josh, daughter Cassie, grandson Hunter, mother Maxine, sisters; Lori Butterfield, Sherry (Terry) Jolley, Patrice Maycock, and Babette (Travis) Baird, father in-law Bert (Lauren) Butters, sisters in-law; Marci Story, Jill (Scott) Waters, Susan (Ty)Kendall.
