Their son, William Eugene, was born on March 18, 1925, in Cherokee Co, KS. He was following by another son, Buddy Eugene, on Jan. 6, 1928, in Granby City, Newton Co, MO.

ON APRIL 13, 1930
Lester R. & Hattie E. Judd, ages 26 & 27, were renting a home in Granby, Newton Co, MO. Their children were Gene W., age 5, & Buddy Earl, 2 years & 2 months. Lester farmed to help support them.

It was sometime after this that Lester went into the ministry full time.

ON APRIL 24, 1940
Lester & Hattie Judd, ages 37 & 38, were renting a home in Cushing, Payne Co, OK where he served as a Church Clergyman. The census indicated that they had lived in Pitcher, OK in 1935. Their children were Eugene, age 15, & Buddy Earl, 12.

Lester & Hattie were living in Granby, MO when he died from a kidney related problem at 6 a.m. on Nov. 5, 1943. He had lived 40 years, 9 months, & 5 days. A notice of his death was published in the Joplin Globe on Sunday, Nov. 7, 1943.

Granby, Mo., Nov. 6 - The Rev. Lester Judd, 40 years old, pastor of the Free Will Baptist church of Earlsboro, Okla., died at 3:45 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Judd, in Granby. Funeral arrangements are indefinite awaiting the arrival of a son, William E. Judd, who is in the army."

Granby, Mo., Nov. 8 - Funeral services for the Rev. Roy Lester Judd, 40 years old, who died Friday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Annie Judd of Granby, after a month's illness, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church. He had served as pastor at Freewill Baptist churches at Picher, Cushing and Earlsboro, Okla. Burial will be in Granby cemetery."
